The Department of Surgery congratulates Prof. Ferdinand Wanjala Nan’gole on his appointment as Chairperson of the Board of Management at Wamalwa Kijana Teaching and Referral Hospital.
Prof. Nan’gole is a senior plastic and reconstructive surgeon in the Department of Surgery and currently serves as the Thematic Unit Head of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Under his leadership, the unit has continued to strengthen specialized services in plastic and reconstructive surgery, including microsurgery and wound care.
Over the years, Prof. Nan’gole has distinguished himself through excellence in clinical practice, teaching, mentorship, and research. His contribution to the training of surgeons and advancement of specialized surgical care has greatly impacted both the Department and the wider healthcare sector.
The Department is confident that his vast experience, professionalism, and visionary leadership will greatly support Wamalwa Kijana Teaching and Referral Hospital in advancing quality healthcare delivery, medical training, and institutional growth.
