Plastic Surgery

The unit of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery is one of the newer units within the department of surgery. It commenced it programmes in 2014 following approval from the University Senate.

Courses

The thematic area started offering a Master of Medicine in Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive degree programme in January 2014.The unit is also involved in teaching for the undergraduate MB ChB (level three, four and six), BDS as well as post-graduate Maxillofacial & MMed Surgery degree courses as per their respective syllabi.

Career opportunities in Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery

This is an area that though developed in the west with a lot of public awareness is just picking up in this country.  With increased wealth, there will no doubt be a big demand for this profession.The market exists and we encourage the young generation to join.
