Paediatric Surgery Workshop and Symposium organized by Kenya Association of Paediatric Surgeons (KAPS) in collaboration with University of Nairobi (UoN)

The objective of the workshop and symposium was to enhance or impart skills of management of AnoRectal Malformations (ARM). In the operative part of the workshop held at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) two patients with ARM were operated on every day from Monday 6th November 2017 to Friay 10th November 2017.

The separated twins, Blessing and Favour playing with their mother in the ward. into American College of Surgeons

Dr. Daniel Kinyuru Ojuka was among 1,823 Initiates from around the world who

became Fellows of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) during the Convocation ceremony at the College’s 2016 annual Clinical Congress in Washington, DC, in October 2016.  The year 2016 class of Initiates was among one of the largest ever admitted into the College.

The September 2017 intake first year graduate students of UoN Department of Surgery and Orthopaedics underwent a two week in-houe Research Methodology Course from 18 - 29 September 2017. The main objective of the course was to equip the learners with the necessary knowledge and skills required for 1. Critical appraisal of literature and 2.
