Wanjeri's story

This is a story of a poor boy called Joseph Kimani who lived in Kangemi village in Nairobi and attended Kangemi Primary School. He later joined Starehe Boys Centre and School where he was sponsored by Mrs M Lamb, an English language teacher from New Zealand (NZ). Joseph Kimani Wanjeri is a Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon and a lecturer in the Department of Surgery of University of Nairobi (UoN).

In April 2016 he travelled to Auckland, New Zealand (NZ) to meet the wonderful lady for the first time. The attached story written by journalist Chris Van Ryn was published in the August 2016 issue of Mindfood an NZ magazine.
